The State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) has been continuously monitoring and supporting the process of electricity market development in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Safe and reliable operation of the power system with a functional method for the provision of ancillary services is the basic precondition for further electricity market development and quality supply of customers. An efficient balancing market has to be based on transparent relationships among all electricity market participants
Having analysed the current operation of the balancing market in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the development of European Union energy rules which become obligatory for BIH as well under the Energy Community mechanisms, SERC is of the opinion that there are justified reasons for its improvement. In view of this, at the session held on 28 July 2021 SERC defined a Draft decision on amendments to the Tariff pricing methodology for services of electricity transmission, independent system operator and ancillary services.

NOTICE ON GENERAL PUBLIC HEARING
The Draft decision on amendments to the Tariff pricing methodology for services of electricity transmission, independent system operator and ancillary services is made available to the public for insight with a view to obtaining suggestions, comments and opinions of interested parties in order to improve the text thereof.
Interested persons may obtain the Draft Decision at the SERC seat (Tuzla, Đorđa Mihajlovića 4/II), or download it in electronic form from www.derk.ba. Verbal and written comments may be given at a general public hearing which will be held on Tuesday, 7 September 2021, commencing at 11:00 hrs via an internet communication platform. All interested parties, who submit their requests for participation to SERC no later than one day before the hearing, may attend the general public hearing without any special limitations except with regard to the duration of comments.
